Total Sport Compact '08

Well the biggest show for our area was this past Saturday at Total Sport Compact. The event was held in Ottawa at the Rapidz stadium and featured a 2x dbDrag along with a 3x TNESPL event.

The entire team was out to make the show a great success both in running the event and in competing.

Holly Anderson made it out to her first event and took 1st place in the Rookie 2 category for TNESPL.

Chris Leroux got back to his winning ways in the Woofer Cooker 3 division of TNE by taking first place and also setting one of the highest scores of the season for the class.

Amy Barr had a rough day out that included blowing a port out of her box and trying to deal with head unit problems. In the end she took 4th place in the very tough Woofer Cooker Pro 1 class in TNE.

Jeff and Martine from SPL Inc. competed and took home 1st place in both Woofer Cooker Pro 2 for TNE and Super Street No-Wall for dbDrag while also running the show. They make it look so easy!

Jordy Olmstead also had a rough day dealing with a sub that had impedance problems. Despite these problems he was able to take 3rd place in the Woofer Cooker Pro 1 class for TNE along with 1st place in Street A for dbDrag.

We'd also like to send out a special congratulations to our friends and affiliate members from SPL Inc. and Team Xmax.

Ed Pacheco from SPL Inc. took home 1st place in Woofer Cooker Pro 1 and 2nd place in Street B.

Eric Desponts from Team Xmax took home 2nd place for Woofer Cooker Pro 1 along with 1st place in Street B.

Mathieu Theberge, also from Team Xmax, took home 2nd place in Street A.

It was a great day with fantastic weather and we're looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Thanking those who help us.

The entire team has been fortunate to get some GREAT help from a few manufacturers over the past couple months and we’d like to take a few seconds to thank American Bass, Kicker and Team Fear of Bass for all of their support. We really do appreciate everything you do or have done for us!

If there are others who have helped us in the past and I’ve forgotten you then please accept my most humble apologies. I’ve got a horrible memory and mean no disrespect to any of them.

Major update after a loooong delay.

Well it’s been FAR too long since we’ve had an update on the team. Please accept my apologies. Too much time has been spent building and testing rather than updating the site.

So here is where we’re at for the season.

SPL Inc. continues to have the #1 ranked Street C vehicle in North America. Their trip down to Daytona was a great success despite blowing a sub in their first run. They were lucky enough to get a loaner from the Digital Designs booth and continue on with the competition taking 1st place in both dbDrag and iDBL.

They’ve been taking it easy of the past while due to Martines pregnancy however they’re still working on the vehicle and putting on the occasional show. They’ll be ready come finals

Amy Barr has been having some bad luck with equipment this year so she hasn’t been able to make it out to as many shows as she would like. To date she has made it to a dbDrag/TNE/iDBL event and placed 1st in Street B, 2nd in TNE’s WCP1 (to a team mate!) and first in iDBL.. The good news is that work is still being done on the car despite the lack of equipment and ability to test so she’ll be ready to rock when her new subs arrive!

Chris Leroux hasn’t been having much luck at all this year. The first problem he ran in to is that his 4 day old amplifier blew up on him. Making things worse is that Atomic is a complete pain in the ass to deal with and has actually stopped replying to emails when trying to get it repaired. He was getting some work done with a loaner amp in the mean time but then his alternator went out on him essentially putting a halt to everything. A new alt. is on order and we’re sure that once it’s installed he’ll be back in the lanes as loud as ever!

Lastly there is Jordy who has finally gotten the time and money to do something productive with the Panda. In his first show out this season he set the highest certified score for Street A in Canada (but has since lost it to Tom Adams). He continues to push for points in order to get an invite to dbDrag world finals going so far as to make the 7.5hr trip down to New Hampshire for a 3x event. To date he’s been using borrowed equipment from the folks at SPL Inc. while he waited for his to arrive. The subs are in and the amp should be here shortly and then he can really get down to business.

Unfortunately the “Project Van” has been put on hold due to lack of amplifiers. We’ll get some numbers put up as soon as we have some power to throw at it!

All of us at Team 2loud4you want to wish our Street C teammates in SPL Inc. both a successful and safe trip down to Daytona Beach for Spring Break Nationals.

SPL Inc. will be heading down to defend their SC World Record score of 157.0 db in dbDrag and also look to put up some impressive numbers in IASCA’s Stock Pro 2 class.

Accompanying Jeff, Martine and Keyur on this trip are their photographer Jeff Martins and bodyguard/doorman Bruce Gibb.

Other Canadians making the trip are Yaniv Dadoun from Montreal and Tom Adams from the GTA. (All apologies if I missed anyone!) So keep an eye on scores for this weekend to see how they do!

All of us here at Team 2loud4you would like to pass along our congratulations to SPL Inc., the Street C portion of Team 2loud4you, for their recent showing at Extreme Audio Thunder in Niagara Falls NY.

Not only did they have to deal with a heck of a snow storm just to make it to the show but while there they decided to make their trip worth while and take home the dbDrag Street C world record with a score of 157.0 db's!

Congrats Jeff, Martine & Keyur. We couldn't be more happy for you guys or more proud to have you on our team!
